With these three, I think there's two males and one female. But I've never owned chickens before and my husband wants me to confirm with more knowledgeable people. The blue laced red wyandotte has a red comb and wattles. Of the two lavender ameraucanas, one has long hackle feathers that it fluffs up as it charges at the wyandotte. The wyandotte and ameraucana are very friendly to me and frequently scuffling with each other, another sign they are males. The third L.A. seems like a female, no color on the comb, no long hackle feathers, doesn't fight, wants nothing to do with me whatsoever.

#1 - wyandotte, #2 - L.A. charging at the wyandotte, #3 - close up of lavender ameraucana comb, #4 - female lavender ameraucana

Number is without a doubt a cockerel. Chick number two isn't a flaming cockerel at this point, but it kinda looks like one to me too... just looking at the comb, tail, body stance, and what you say about it's temperament. The third chick appears to be a pullet.
Thanks RhodeRunner, we rehomed the wyandotte last week with a friend who has 12 hens about the same age. He wasn't accepted into the flock so she has him separated from the others and will try to integrate him slowly. He's friendly to her and her dog and I'm really hoping it works out for him :fl

Your welcome! Hope the little guy gets accepted... sometimes it just takes awhile for all the birds to adjust. Twelve hens and no other roosters sounds like a rooster's dream home!

Wyatt Chearp is back. My friend was so positive that it is a female that she brought it back to me because she knows we got kind of unlucky with our straight runs (4 probable males out of 7). I'm not going to try to rehome Wyatt again until he crows. Here is a pic of him (her?) from this morning
