We purchased 14 hens from Tractor Supply at the last minute to add to the 25 that we have now. This batch has been nothing but bad news. I have a hen that is limping and walking as if the leg has gone dead. Their was another incident about a month ago where another hen was limping and her toes were curling on one leg. We have her Vitamin B Complex and sunflower seeds and nothing happened. We isolated her for now and will wait and see but I am not optimistic.

I'm sorry you're having troubles.
How old is the hen?
Was she vaccinated for Marek's?
What type of food/treats do you feed?
What breed?

Sometimes all you can do is provide supportive care with vitamins and see if they improve.
I would give the one that is limping now Vitamin B Complex too.

What happened to the other one, is she still going or did you end up putting her down?

Photos of the legs, feet and hen may also be helpful.

Is there a bump or hard area on the injured foot? You need to feel around and see if there is or if you're lucky there will be a visible scab/ bump.
