2week old chick died suddenly.. help

Sorry to hear this... Was the chick drinking (dehydrated) before you gave water.

One day we found a baby rabbit in the middle of the road when it was 105+ degrees outside, we gave it water and the exact thing happened. We figured it has gotten too hot and dehydrated. It was sad to see...

As this has happened twice, I would be wary of using of using a syringe. It is very likely that the chick can aspirate water into it's lungs, which nay cause a seizure. A safer approach to get a chick to drink is to dip it's beak in water. I use a small jar lid as it's shallow and I'm less likely to dip the beak too deep.

Sometimes they simply do not thrive. It is such a shame that your chick didn't make it. It's heart-breaking.
