Sometimes she sits on her hocks, but never for long; when awake, she's clumsy. Otherwise lethargic, no interest in eating/drinking, doesn't even peep loudly when isolated or cold. No injuries as far as I can see. Droppings are normal.

We gave her some nutri-drench with Corid, and intend to treat the lot for possible coccidiosis. One other chick was found dead yesterday, we're unsure of the cause. The other chicks are behaving normally.

But for this baby, I'm stumped. It doesn't look like Marek's or coccidiosis (another flock of chicks on the property succumbed to both earlier). Am I missing an injury?

Can this chick eat/drink on it's own?
I would work on hydrating her, then offer a bit of wet mash.

Her stance is interesting, where did the chicks come from?
What do you feed?

If you are treating with Corid, then eliminate the Poultry Nutri-Drench, there can be a conflict. Liquid Corid dosing is 2tsp per gallon of water.

Photos of the poop would be helpful. For me - I think I would direct drench the chick with the PND at 2-3 drops twice a day for a couple of days to see if she perks up.

Ooh, thank for the interaction heads-up! I'll stop mixing those.

The chicks were hatched here from first generation McMurray birds. The chick in question and one other died during the night. None of the others are refusing to sit. Case closed unsolved, I guess? I moved the rest to another part of the property and started them on Corid.
