2yo Easter egger with slimy white vomit and liquidy poop

I saw her vomit twice this afternoon, about an hour apart. Both times another hen rushed over and immediately ate it all up so if I hadn't been watching I wouldn't even have known it happened. I also saw her pass some pretty liquidy poop.

She is eating and drinking normally, moving well, eyes bright, eating oyster shell, friendly, no objections to being picked up/handled. Crop felt normal.

I don't know if the weather has anything to do with this. It's been 100°+ for a while and this is much earlier than it's usually this hot. The flock has shade, fans, ice in the waterers, ice water foot baths, Chick’n Aid in one of the waterers, and we spray down the runs several times during the day so they have nice cool dirt for dust bathing (she did take a dust bath today).

Sometimes when they drink a lot they can spit water back up. With the temperatures you're having this may be the case.

Drinking a lot also causes looser poop.

I think I'd watch to make sure she's not overheating, it does sound like she's doing o.k. though if she's eating/drinking as normal, moving about and dust bathing.

It's always a good idea to check the crop, ideally first thing in the morning before eating/drinking, if the crop is emptying and feels normal, that's a good thing.

If it's not emptying, then check again the next day (or if the hen seems to not feel well), address the symptoms as described in the article below.

Checking early while they are roosting is great idea!

Checked her this morning (my goodness the leghorns get their flock up so early, way before dawn). Her crop was empty. I didn't smell anything foul around her beak/breath. I didn't see her poop but she lay down for a while and when she got up there was a nice firm poop in that area but I didn't see who made it, I'm hoping it was her. I'll keep an eye on her today.
