I have 2 chicks one is 3 weeks and other 4 weeks and they dom't wanna eat anything other than raw rice, raw rice doesn't have enough nutritions for them and they are falling sick- what should i do?
they get scared or surprised when they see new foods and don't wanna eat it.
also i can't buy meal worms or insects here cuz they don't sell it. :[ plz help

If you are giving them crumbles and they are afraid of it, tap it with your fingertip. This is as close as a human can get to what a mother hen would do to teach her chicks to eat. It has worked for me.

You're going to need to give them something with protein in it, like finely diced hard-boiled eggs. You can try mixing finely cut up egg white into the rice to fool them into eating it.

They also need some grit, like play sand. The rice won't grind up in their crops without the grit. Commercial chick feed has some grit in it.

You can try to trick them into eating crumble by combining the two. Mix some of the rice and crumble together, 1/2 cup rice and 1/2 cup crumble.

yes i have it i gave it to them till now , they occationally peak at it but doesn't like to eat that eather. if i fill the feeder bowl they won't even eat 2% of it and sterve instead. i even checked the date it's fine too.
Try making a slight mash out of it with warm water. A lot of the time chicks and chickens both go crazy for a warm mash. Rice doesn't hold enough nutrients or much food value in general with growing poultry

ETS: but mixing rice into the mash might make it more enticing!

This is a good point, they love softened chick feed and will frenzy over it. Sprinkle a little bit of the rice on top to entice them if you have to.
