Hi,
Around 3 and a half weeks ago I hatched 7 chicks, but I can't keep them all and I am wanting to sell about 4. Of course I am wanting to keep the hens so please help me decide which are roosters and which are hens! (I haven't named them yet because I didn't want to get too attached so I will just number them!)
Here they are:
1. (Silkie rooster cross with light sussex bantam hen)

2. (Silkie rooster cross with light sussex bantam hen)

3. (Silkie rooster cross with light sussex bantam hen)

4. (Grey silkie rooster cross with White silkie hen)

5. (Grey silkie rooster cross with white silkie hen)

6. (grey silkie rooster cross with white silkie hen)

7. (Grey silkie rooster cross with white silkie hen)

Thank you so much for reading, please help!!

It can be hard to tell when you have birds with different types of combs. Generally those with bigger fleshier combs are male. Males will tend to be larger and more agressive too.
It's hard from me to tell for sure from you photos.
I think 3, 5 and 6 are females. Some of the others may be too, but I'm not sure.

Beautiful birds! I'm also waiting with baited breath to see which of my 4 silkies are pullets or cockerels. All 8 of my chicks )4 mille fleur d'Uccles and 4 white silkies) are all so friendly and those d'Uccles love to snuggle! They come to the opening of the brooder box and come out to snuggle and play every chance they get- as soon as they see me sitting in front of the box. I'm sure the silkies would, too, but they can't fly up to the opening.

I'm seeing now that your original post was from 2013. Who turned out to be a hen & who is a roo? Were you ever able to figure out what to look for regarding any early detection physical developments ( details) or behaviors?
