We went with the standard silkie sexing method. An egg means girl a crow means boy

how cute! I am new to incubating chook eggs and i am finding it very exciting and it sure is teaching me and my 3yo patience My eggs are on day 20 will they start trying to crack out soon? How long from the first little crack till they were in the big wide world? I keep stalking them ha ha

We I got back in about 6pm an noticed a little crack so I assume it had just pipped and then it didn't hatch until 4am the next mornin so it was about 10-12 hours about. But some pipped on day 20 tho. Any sign yet?

I would expect them anytime now. Maybe 3 more days at the latest.

well we are proud featherless parents of one little chick so far we woke up to chirping so very exciting in country WA So hopefully the others will follow suit. Do they normally hatch around the same time give or take a day?
