3 chickens dead in two nights

What is killing my chickens?

One was killed by her guts being eaten but head and neck in tact

Two others were brought to the road and one was opened and had guts laying out the other looked like she got hit by a car. (They never go to the road. Ever) but they do roost in a tree outside the coop.

What could be killing our chickens?!

I'd guess a raccoon or two.

When nature deals you a crappy hand make jokes. Are you sure that your birds don't need lessons on how to cross the road?

Regardless of what the example of the possum and the armadillo teach us, most animals can safely cross the road.

I'm sorry that happened. If you have any chickens left, or before you get more I strongly suggest you predator proof your coop and run. Chickens roosting outside a coop are an easy meal. Here is a link to an article that may help you determine the predator. Best of luck to you.
