3 chickens died, one in Critical condition. Unknown Illness. Please help

You can find it at most feed stores, tractor supply, etc. It comes in powder or liquid, either is fine, look in the cattle/livestock section. Dosage chart is attached below, use the severe outbreak dosing. Also give your very sick bird some orally in addition to the treatment below, dosing for that his here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/corid-oral-drench-instructions.1211991/

Coach723 is a “pretty advanced person” LOL. Her advice to look at possible coccidiosis is wise. Symptoms are lethargy, standing around hunched or puffed up, not eating, and runny poops (sometimes with blood) are symptoms.

I would give them plenty of cool water, add some electrolytes, put out multiple bowls of shaded water, feed bowls, and keep the coop cool with a fan. Heat exhaustion and dehydration may be possibilities. It can be risky to go out of town during hot weather, especially if you are not there to observe any distress they may have. When I go anywhere and have a friend pet sit, I overdo water and food in case of spills. If they are not allowed out of the coop and run as they normally are, they also may get stressed.

Giving a round of Corid would not be harmful in case of coccidiosis.

Yes, I also put out extra waterers if I'm going to be gone. No matter how much I stress that fresh, cool water is important, to a caregiver, they sometimes just don't understand how critical it can be. In the hot, humid climate of Florida, it can be deadly pretty quickly. I've gotten to where I won't leave in the heat of summer unless I absolutely have to.
