I have only been doing chickens for 3 months and I am addicted. I have 17 chicks/chickens with a hatch due next week. My plan for only 2 coops is not looking promising do I need a 3rd?
First coop for my year old polishs I bought 3 hens and a roo. My hatch coming next week is all polishs, end plan integrate them with my current polishs eventually.
However I couldn't pass up a gorgeous 9wk old Houdan WCB x poulet. She has been quarantined and is now living in my polish "range" in a dog crate for a few weeks. I give her time out with them hoping they will except her. Not the case they stopped pecking her but now just chase her around. Should I just leave her or start a second polish coop?
I know I should not of gotten a lone chicken and will never make that mistake again. where can I put her?
My second coop still under construction is for my 12 mixed breeds "backyard flock" ex. BR NH and australorp. 4-6 wks.
So question, do I start on a second polish coop?I was thinking of trying her with my backyard flock when I move them. Advice?
