3 day old chick eye issue

Woke up this morning to one of my 3 day old quail chicks with its eyes swollen and closed. Wondering if it's been pecked or if there's something else possibly going on. Does anybody have any ideas? Here's a picture. Thank you so much!

I can't tell in the picture, but are the eyes red?

I would start with a gentle saline rinse. It's unlikely to be disease this early, but it might be injury or something in the eye.

Possible eye injury or infection (conjunctivitis). A triple antibiotic eye ointment (or terramycin) applied 3-4 times daily won’t hurt anything and will treat an infection.

Thank you both, eye is reddish and doesnt like me oprnjng however sonetimes has open squinting. I have done saline rinses with saline ampules and I happen to have the terramycin eye Ointment from older bird that was pecked. I will apply I'm morning. Really appreciate supportive comments.

If the eyes are red, I'm guessing that you have an albino. Unfortunately, albinos are often blind or go blind quickly. I have yet to have an albino that didn't need to be culled, though some people have managed to keep the poor blind little ones in small cages where their food and water are always in the same place.

Appreciate all the responses very much. I have cleansed again today an added some terramycin Ointment again today after cleaning and doing I have been able to take some more pictures and see better. Seems she is now opening it at times before was not. I attached pics. I think now red was inflammation not seeing eyes them selves as red. Swelling is still quite significant looks pretty awful but here is some further pictures.

It's not an albino but I think it got it's eye pecked. The last few pics, it appears to doing better, swelling going down. Just keep doing what your doing, it should heal soon although there is a possibility it could be blind in that eye after it heals
