No...it does not always prevent it and it will NOT cure it.

HEAT LAMPS are very hot.

You need to make sure you aren't over heating them.
Take the temperature with a thermometer.

okay i have cocid on hand so i will treat for it just to make sure and keep it updated I am sure they are not over heated they are not panting and not laying out trying to cool off they look very happy and healthy then one will just go down and nothing i do will help.

Do you have the powder or the liquid Corid?

I just went out and checked them and they are making brown foamy poos and really watery poos looks like duck poo.

In addition to mixing a batch of Corid into their water you make want to give each chick one drop of it straight to the beak.

What brand/type feed are you feeding them?
Have you offered any treats?
