One way to help with water issues is take a small container with a lid and makes holes big enough for babies head to get in so they can clean the eyes and nares but not jump in.

One way to help with water issues is take a small container with a lid and makes holes big enough for babies head to get in so they can clean the eyes and nares but not jump in.

That actually sounds like it might make a great idea for the older ones at night in their coop!

Just updating in case anyone else ever has these issues. It was and is totally worth it to put in the hard work to save and rehab the poor baby duckling. His feet and leg have no issue anymore, his nares are both open now, and his bill is perfectly usable but with an underbite. Look at him now!
