Hi i have 2 3 day old ducklings an 1 seems to have a problem walking it slides its feet outwards .. but it can run fast an get from a to b easy it just slides its feet apart when stood eating or walking around

What type surface do you have them on ? They need 'roughness' to help with traction. Smooth surfaces can lead to spraddle leg problems.

Anything that provides traction should be good. Seems like a towel should work unless they are catching their toenails in it.

Ive just put some wood shavings down an its like its swimming in them yet i place on carpet an it runs so fast but spreads its legs to walk ??

Hi im in the uk an cant find any niacin for the ducklings does anybody no where i can get some

It's not something I've had to use myself for my Ducks but I've done a quick search and read that you can use human Niacin pills.

I read that here:
https://metzerfarms.blogspot.com/2011/03/are-my-ducklings-leg-problems-due-to.html?m=1

I am not guaranteeing it's safe as I honestly don't know I'm just reading from that site. If anyone else has ever used human ones then let me know too!

If you find out it is safe to use them then you can most likely buy them from Superdrug or Boots.

Double check before using them though as I wouldn't like to say for sure if you can use them or not or what dosage you'd give them.

Thank you ive had somebody tell me its not something we need in uk due to feed already having it in
