I would say the three day old chicks got something pink in their feed
never know there may have been kids in there feeding the chicks popcorn etc
something with color
3 day olds can't get coccidosis
they have just absorbed the egg yolk 1-1/2 days ago

DON'T use sulmet
it is too hard and takes a lot to get them going
I never liked it as it will ruin the gut and laying apparatus in hens
as the hen chicks are very small and fragile

Buy an amproylium for coccidosis if your store doesn't have it
call Smith Poultry Supplies
and ask them for a amproylium product for coccidiosis
