hi, my 5 month old indian runner willow started laying eggs last month at 18 weeks old. today she has laid as usual this morning, and then this evening she walked into the front room where we were and laid an egg which was just the outer membrane, no shell on it, just a 'soft shell'. about 20 minutes later she laid another one exactly the same. she has been pushing as if she needs to push another one out. gave her a warm bath and she is now asleep but she is still slightly pushing in her sleep.
not sure why she has laid 3 eggs today? first time shes laid a soft egg too. she has access to oyster shell during the daytime and is on grower feed and has lots of peas, i put niacin drops in her water and she also forages eating a few insects a day? since she started laying for the first time,23rd june, she has laid every day apart from 3 days.
weather has been quite warm today dont know if this is anything to do ilwith it. any help appreciated! thanks

Sometimes they release multiple ovum. Usually they become double yolk eggs. Heat can affect laying too. My guess is she's forced to move the eggs through instead of putting a shell on each one which can take about 25 hours because multiple ones are coming through and pushing them along.
