My Miss Martha was just making a ruckus. I went to see what was the matter and by golly ANOTHER egg!

Can a chicken lay an egg every day?

That's 3 in 2 1/2 days! My goodness, its like another gal posted 'it's like Christmas'! Maybe she was stopped up all this time. She is 31 weeks hatched, so I think she is behind, but I'm totally new at this! I'm not complaining, it was warm and I think I need to eat this one.

3 eggs in 3 days is normal for many breeds.

....I still thrill to a warm egg just laid especially in winter when hands are chilly.

What breed is she?
Yes, many pullets will start laying and just keep on trucking every day.
Have on this year that has only taken maybe 3 days off in a month.
Others not so much, have a bunch of those too.

I’ve got a blue Orpington hen that lays a large (sometimes XL) egg daily. So yes it’s normal. Congratulations on that egg!
