3 HEALTHY BABIES from DDD eggs LAST POST 1/6/08

Just got done candling all 12 remaining eggs (after the dropped one the other day).

The 1 Silkie feathered green egg layer...the shell has gotten so dense I can't tell anything except where the air sac is now. So I'm going to keep it in the bator full term. Does the dense/thick/opaque shell mean anything I should know about?

The 11 Frizzle eggs:
2 blood circles (dated 11/30 and 12/2)
3 clear (dated 11/29 and two from 11/30) I'm sure they were too old by the time I got my temps stable(for the 3rd and final time).

The other 6 are FANTASTIC!!!! Get this, one of the 11/29 ones, we're even thinking it might have 2 chicks in it!!!

Either it's two or if it's one, it's pretty big and HATES the light. There was lots of swimming around when I was candling it. I'll look at it again tomorrow or Wed night to see if I can tell better for sure.

My first hatch and I'm in tears over the live ones I'm so excited!

I am sorry about the one egg, I have two kids and want them to experiecne everything too. I know it can be hard.
But wow! what a fertility rate! Good for you!

Ok. I moved the remaining 6 of the 13 eggs I received from DipsyDoodleDoo into the hatcher yesterday and stopped turning. Temps and humidity are great!

I have two "movers"!!! They especially move around when the light is on and not much when the light is off.

We're getting so excited now!!! Can hardly stand it. It definitely helped having the eggs in the bator throught all the holiday preparations, too many other things to focus on other than the eggs in the bator and counting days down. Now...OMG it's killing us.

Will update as I have more progress.

Today is day 21~

I have a pip!!!

Pip occurred sometime this morning around 10 our time, I think. Chick is quite vocal and responds every time I talk to it through the glass on the incubator.

My gosh it's just killing me! I want these babies out NOW! The suspense is making me lose my mind!

Come on out babies!!! I'm dying to meet you!
