3 hens... 5 eggs... 6 hours... is this even possible!

So, I have 3 hens in one of my coops... I just went out to gather eggs and there were 5 eggs... I just checked the nests 6 hours ago and they were all empty. What are the chances of 2 of the 3 laying 2 eggs in that time frame? Yesterday there was only 1 egg... so, I guess it's possible... but, it seems pretty crazy! Has anyone else had this happen?

Are those the only hens you have? Could a couple other pullets turned into layers today?

I had 7 out of 6 hens in 4 hours the other day. I dunno

Sometimes I get 5 eggs from 4 hens and call it a good day. Sounds like you had a great day!

I had 3 hens and got 5 eggs one day and 4 the next...... it was when they were just starting to lay..... I guess they liked the feeling!!! Enjoy!

I'm so pleased that others have had this happen... I kept second guessing myself... thinking it just wasn't possible!
