3 Japs hatched! 3 more hatched, look! more PICTURES!

The two from yesterday were shrink wrapped and still stuck in the egg. I popped them out a few minutes ago. One came out all on her own. So 3 babies!
I think I will need to put slippers on one of them after work.
2 eggs quit days ago, one quit maybe a day or 2 ago.
I really hope that temp drop won't kill the other eggs!

Question!
I keep getting wrapped chicks. The humidity is 75-80%, but still, they are stuck.
What the heck?
If I hadn't of helped the two from yesterday, they wouldn't of made it. They were wrapped real tight when I opened the pip hole they made.
I only open the bator 1week in to check for live eggs, then only when water is needed near the end. I have staggered hatches, but don't open the bator after the 2nd week unless water is needed. So if I added eggs too close to the other's week long lock down, I don't check for failures until after the others hatch.

Pics after work! Sorry it can't be right now...=p

I had the same shrink wrapping problem a couple of days ago. I had 7 eggs ready to hatch...5 made it out on their own but the last two I had to help. The first one pipped and made no progress for over 30 hours. I have never seen such a clean egg shell inside when I finally helped that one. No bleeding whatsoever so I know that if I had left it much longer, it probably would have died. The last egg, I heard it peeping in the egg for two full days but it got fainter and fainter and I finally candled it and saw that it had internally pipped but made no progress. I waited until I couldn't stand it anymore and made a small hole in the eggshell and found it was shrink wrapped badly so after a few hours to let it "dry out" in the shell and not bleed, I peeled it out too. Clean shell inside and baby is the king of the brooder now. I really attribute it to the dry air in the house now that the electric heat is on. It doesn't seem to matter how much moisture is in the bator. The heat zaps it out of the air.

I pooed a quarter!

They are all in together. One kept jumping out in with the big chicks, so I let them all out and they are doing wonderful.
