Yay! Today I got 3 little silkies, almost a month old. They're too young to tell but I think I have a roo and 2 pullets. (did i say that right?) Anyways, I would like to show them. They're very beautiful and so were Momma and Daddy. I think I have a partridge, blue and a black, I'm excited.
For a newb whoes never shown, what are your tips? What extra food (I have them on medicated starter and grower) do you think would make them nice, strong, and happy? I have them in a 1-story ferret cage. They're under a 125 heating lamp and have food and water close to the lamp but far enough so that if they're hot, they can eat and drink with ease. At night, I'll put a heating pad under cage. So, am I being a good momma so far? They're cheaping, not loud, and not a sickly cheap, although they seem a bit stressed and nervous. Any tips? Thanks!
