Hi! I have two rouens and a cayuga. They are about 3 months old. One of the rouens is a loud quaker (figuring as female), the cayuga quacks but not nearly as loud (still figuring as female). The other rouen doesn't seem to make any noise beyond squeeking (male?).
My question is at what age do the adult male feathers start the show up? All are losing feathers, but the suspected male shows no signs of greying out, or white ring. Also, might be seeing the start of a sex feather but it is long and straight and thinking it may be a lone "new" tail feather.
Any insight would be helpful, thanks.
