Well we have our answer. She does have mites! A couple other chickens she hangs out with are starting to get these funny feathers as well. I have diatomaceous earth on hand. I also read I can spray down coop areas with water, cooking oil and dawn mixed together.Under her vent, wings, and the back of the neck. Does not hurt to check.![]()
Is there something I need to do topically for all my chickens, or just the visibly affected ones, plus treating the coop areas?
I have about 30 birds right now. They have 3 separate roost areas.
