My chickens live with my mom and she recently let me know that for the past three months my year old hens have either stopped laying or have been laying very small eggs. We’ve had a normal spring temperature wise and they get plenty of sunlight because they often free range. We feed them a store bought mix with random kitchen scraps. Apparently they’ve been out of oyster shells for a while but can this cause them to lay only abnormally small eggs? They don’t seem to be acting lethargic or in any unhealthy manner but I’m still really worried about them. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice?

What chicken feed "mix", exactly? Brand name and type (layer feed, chick feed, starter feed, all-flock feed, etc.)

A picture of the front of the bag will work. If you can also get a picture of the nutrition label, that is also very helpful.

This is the feed in their coop however i learned that they do snack on treats intended for the resident peacocks which have a mix of grains, corn, and cat food.
