I had a pair of buttons, Silver male and normal wild type female. The female expired unexpectedly and the male cried for her and cried for her. She had 5 eggs in her nest, which she wasn't setting on, so I took her eggs and put them in the incubator in hopes of hatching a new female for him. I couldn't stand to hear him crying so much, so I bought a new wild type female and they are super content and seem happy with one another. From the 5 eggs I set, I have 3 newbies.
