3 part staggered hatch, Wynette, Speckledhen, scbatz33 eggs new photos

Yes, that would be a blue jersey! They are beautiful chicks! What color is the olive egger? Most of them hatch black, but I have some really, really pretty blues, too!

BEST of hatching vibes still coming! Thanks for the update, Kathy!

Yay!

Oh geez.... another hour before I get off work. I'm goin' nuts here, unable to see what's goin' on! No news on the hatch ....

However, I did want to post that I got my new legbands delivered today. Also got the new Spot-Check bator thermometer. I measured temps all over those bators, and it was anything from 98.6 to 102 .... in the same bator! Now, tell me, that is a problem! Hot spots, cold spots, crazy! It makes me excited to get that Sportsman. I am hoping that will be a much more reliable bator.

I sure hope these hatches go well. These are special eggs to me.

The Giants are winning! I have 3 Giants (1 black, 2 blues) and the "Mystery Egg," out and fluffing up! There is another Giant zipping, and I think it is blue. Here are a couple not so good pictures...
Here is the first one out.... Blue Giant

Wynette, how do you get those Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks to respond? They aren't even talkin' to me.

The Marans .... quiet, one or maybe two pips.
The Olive Eggs have one or two pips .... quiet.
I tell ya, those Giants have been chirpin' for a day!

Wynette, you said your olive eggers mostly hatch black or blue? This one is definitely shades of browns. Oh, those blue Giants are so perdy! The silver color just glistens when they are wet. I have 2 more Giants to go ... now they can be spash, ok? Or, another black will do fine!

I have the lavender orps in egg cartons to hatch. Recall, they are 48 hours behind this first hatch. OOOohhhhhh, and only one more week til the Delawares make their appearances! I am just all kinds of excited here, doin' the happy dance!

Our fluffy butts are doing great.

Yeah, the Giants are loud. My DH always comments on that, too! Crossed fingers for a splash to hatch next!!! I've only sent a few orders of the SPRs, so I'm not sure on them. THe Marans are usually pretty verbal. My best hatches of the Marans come with humidity being a bit higher (like by 5) through incubation, but you'll surely get them to hatch...may just take a bit longer? They are large eggs, too.

Oh, on your olive egger - she looks mostly blue with brownish highlights - does that seem right? I have one adult that is blue with copper highlights through her hackles (not a lot) and on her head. Maybe that's what yours will be? I also habe one that hatched that looks almost like a Wellsummer, but she hatched all black with a copper head, so I don't think that's what yours will look like. It will be interesting! Wonder what happened overnight?
