I heard Georgia singing her egg song this morning, so I went out to gather it before it froze. I walked in to this:

At least they had the decency to roll Georgia's egg out before it got broken! Is this just a case of "you're in here, so I need to be too"? At one point, one girl was actually standing on another's head and had her pinned to the floor. By the way, the reason they're on the floor is because they won't use a nest box. It started when my first to lay, Georgia, refused to use a nest box and squeezed herself between the box and the coop framing (see it on the right). I moved the box over and that's where she continued to lay. The other three followed suit. I've tried golf balls, and a couple different types of boxes. The only one who shows any interest in the nest box is one of my EEs, who at 22 weeks is still far from POL, I'm sure!

I'd move the box right against the wall, & see if they'll use it then. I had an issue such as yours & moving my box worked
