We have 5 chickens that are just over 9 weeks old. I know the 2 are roos & I'm pretty sure the other 3 are hens. I just wanted to be sure. I also know they are mixed breeds, if you could give me an idea of what breeds they might be. All but one have feathers on their feet. Their names are Gilbert, Opal, Marvin, Mabel & Gladys.

Looks about right to me but Gladys ... Could you get a picture from the front/comb area? I'm thinking a Silkie cross and thinking possible cockerel due to the head feathering. Females tend to be like 'cotton balls' while Males tend to be pointy ...

I can get a better picture tomorrow. The lady I got them from said she had Jerseys, Buffs and Cochins.

How many toes does "she" have? What color is her skin/legs?
From what I can make out of the comb = pullet but her head feathering still think there's some Silkie in her but I'm no expert.
Her feet are extremely feathery, but from what I can see in pictures she has 3 toes like the others and her legs are black. I will double check tomorrow about the number of toes.

So I checked her feet when I went out to feed them this morning. She does have an extra small toe on each foot and her feet are black. It was covered with her feathers so I couldn't see it in the pictures.
