The temps i need for beer are in the 170 to 200 range but calibration.
I would think you'd test at boiling then...after finding out what boiling is at your eleveation.

Well aware of that...but....a human medical therm with their tight tolerances is the closest I can come to an absolute/standard, not having access to a calibration lab anymore. Sometimes you've got to use logic and flexibility when dealing with the less than ideal.

Well buying another therm seems....harsh I did try another beer therm.whoch matched up with the first one closely

Btw that was 100.7 this fine morning
