3 thermometers

I use a meat thermometer and it is the most accurate I know of for the price.

I used to have 5 or 6 thermometers and none agreed. One was a Brinsea Spot Check but I didn't believe it. When I got the pocket digital from Thermoworks, it agreed exactly with the Spot Check. I threw all the others away.

The other beer thermos dont have humidity attached at all as it is an unimportant issue for beer

I will put one in there today if 8 can find an u used one as I generally have several batches of beer going at once

update on temps

so, I moved all the thermometers into almost the same exact area to get a better idea what Im dealing with

The digital (from incubator warehouse which I don't think I can calibrate) is in the 101 to 101.8 range I seem to trust this one the least

Meat therm which is about 1 inch higher than the other 2, and is calibrated for many years from making beer is moving between 99.4 and 100.2 I don't see it moving much from that range I trust this one a lot, cuz I have had it for a LONG time and has never failed me ever, even when I culture yeasts

The therm on the unit is showing about 99.3 to 99.7 This one controls the actual heater, so I pay attention to it either way

I think the digital is wrong a little, and since its a still air unit, that temp isn't making me worry too much

so, im gonna go ahead and let it ride got about 90 more eggs saved up for incubator #2, but wont use them all Only gonna pick the ones in the 16-18 range for weight and let those go into the chicken trays, and see what happens

with ice water is how I was always taught when doing beer I cant imagine its much different, no?

The one rom Incubator warehouse however I don't think can be calibrated I read online about it, and since I have no idea where the actual sensor is on it, and I don't think submerging it in icewater will help, i guess they come already calibrated ?

Yeah, I guess that can work, not accurate IMO....we're not incubating at 32°F...and most bator therms don't even include that temp in their ranges or operation.

Why I compare(it's not really 'calibration') my therms to a human medical thermometer.

The temps i need for beer are in the 170 to 200 range but calibration. Has to take place at an absolute

I think even.most instructions have it being done such.
