3 week growth for broilers and broad-breasted bronze turkeys

I'm not an expert but personally I would up their protein. I raised some Cornish-x this spring... started them on 24% then dropped down and finished them on 20%. They gained weight much better than the ones that I started on 20% ( and then dropped down to 15%, which is the protein in Dumor's finisher) and I had a ZERO percent mortality on both groups. Turkeys should have even higher, preferably 28% protein. The starter/grower from TSC is (If memory serves) only a 20%. I believe the starter from TSC is 24%.

I have 25 CX. I am using TSC Starter in a fermented feed setup. I am only on day three of the FF. I have been feeding them 3 times a day in an amount that they can polish off in 20-30 minutes. My birds are 19 days old today and weigh average about 1 pound when I weighed them tonight. I would like them to finish at about 8-9 weeks. However I am more concerned about overall health than super quick weight gain. I am concerned that I am not feeding them enough. However they appear healthy and are pretty active. When I go to feed them in the morning they are trying to fly over the brooder wall (It's 24" high). So I guess I will continue with what I am doing. I just have to fit the processing in between hunting seasons so that is my only real concern that they be done in a certain amount of time.

I was finally able to weigh my 3.5 week old crosses last night. I've had them in a tractor since about 5 days old average weight was 28oz. that seems way ahead of yours for some reason.

So my CX are 4 weeks old tomorrow. I have 25 of them in a tractor that I can move daily to new grass. I just weighed all of them today and the average weight came to 2.0388. Do they really start to pile on weight in the last 4 weeks? I don't want them to grow too fast. This is my first experience with CX so I have nothing to measure progress against except DP birds which is no real help.

I don't free feed either. I feed in early morning, mid afternoon when the kids come home from school and evening. On the weekends I feed the second time in mid day. As long as they are on track and still healthy I guess I wont worry. I just have no frame of reference since these are my first CX.
