Yesterday we introduced 3 new chicks to our flock. They are the same age, 3 weeks, as the chicks we had previously.
The Doctor seems to have been pecked as she now has a bald spot on her head. None of the other chicks harass her when I am looking, so I cannot isolate the problem chick.
Any advice?

put some rooster booster peck no more on the wound . They absolutely hate the smell and won't peck her head again! my chicks are coming soon and I stocked up on it! works Great! most farm stores carry it.

Or Blue-kote or Blue Lotion may be all you need to merely disguise the bald spot so it's not as obvious, thereby inviting more pecking.

If you can identify the problem chick, or it could even be more than one, they can be disciplined to stop doing it.

I wrote an article just yesterday about this topic. Click on the fourth link below under "Articles by Azygous".
