Are you'll guessing because of the comb or color?

The color. Pure bred barred males have two copies of the barring gene, which makes them lighter overall. Pullets have only one copy, so they're darker. This guy is a great picture of a young cockerel.

She is gorgeous! Really dark legs too, my one has yellow legs.

How old is this bird now? It's not a pure barred Rock, with those dark legs. Not being pure, all bets are off as to sexing by color.
