3 week old BO's....is he or isn't she???

Any idea if these are a he or a she? Pulling for both she's!! I call them both Buffy so I am labeling them #1 and #2. They are both cute and sweet as a button. Hard to get a close up of the comb but being new to chickens I don't think that will help me at all

It is too early to tell if it is a rooster or not but I can say that it isn't a Buff Orpington. (The chick in the picture has yellow legs I would say it is a Buff Rock)

I think they are getting spine feathers. They are reddish in color and at first I thought they were bleeding!!

Please don't tell me they aren't BO's!! I need family friendly birds--3 kids 3 and under right now!! Is Buff Rock good with kids and a good layer??

The trick to any friendly bird is handling!!! The more gentle petting and handling the better and tamer they will be! Yes, some birds are geneticly proven to be calmer but almost any bird or animal can be made more friendly by LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of gentle handling and love! The more the better!!!

We moved them inside the house to ensure more family time. They actually seem to like it. The legs in question to me look pale, especially compared to the RIR. Does that help?
