So I have 4 chicks that are just about 3 weeks now and one of them seems to always have been that bit smaller. Her wings are only just now reaching her tail and her tail feathers are about a cm smaller than the rest. She’s physically smaller and though it’s hard to see in photos, today I really noticed how much smaller she is. She’s always been much more vocal and pretty much peeps until she is asleep. She eats and drinks normally and has no issues with pasty butt or anything but I’m still just worried about her. She’s more often sleeping than the other 3 and she seems to gravitate to the heat lamp while the others are growing out of it now. I’m not sure if she’s just like the runt or if there’s something wrong with her. 😞 I’m probably just being paranoid but I want to make sure anyway.

she appears to be a runt. I had a barred rock runt and she did just fine. She was very quiet however. But other than that she had all the other symptoms yours is having. She died recently but it was not a health problem, she had gotten stuck somewhere and suffocated before i found her. I still mourn her loss. She was very attached to me and would sit on my shoulder all the time. She was the sweetest little chicken I ever did meet
