3 week old chick randomly died during the night?

I had a beautiful little Sicilian buttercup chick that I adored. She was feathering out sooo beautifully. Last night when it was bed time, I went in and checked on everyone (18 chicks and 2 ducks) and they all seemed great. This morning when I went to check on them, my little butter cup was in the corner dead, practically flattened and the other chicks had started picking and eating her. I just don't have any idea what could have happened to her. What's the most likely scenario; did the other chicks bully her to death?

If all the chicks huddle in that corner to sleep, they may have inadvertantly suffocated her.
