i have a 3 week old frizzled chabo whos not developing like the rest, all its siblings are 3 times the size of this little one (she's still as small as the day she came out the shell!)

with her being so small, now that her big girl feathers have came in, shes having trouble getting around, because her wings are low hanging, they are dragging along catching on EVERYTHING,(i think them being frizzled makes it worse) so the wings get stuck and get bent back, it actually causes her to fall/flip over.
she must have learnt that if she stays still she doesnt hurt herself, so shes in the same spot alllllllllllll day, constantly cheeping. if i dont move her to the food/water, she wouldnt eat or drink. every day this week ive expected to come down in the morning and find her dead but she's hanging in there
am i cruel letting her go on like this? should i cull? im not sure what else to do?

You could try separating her from the rest and helping her for a while. I don't think it would be cruel to cull, it's up to you. There are some chicks that just don't grow for some reason for a long time. Yours sounds worse than that though with low hanging wings, etc.

no, the low hanging wings are part of this breeds traits..they hang super low with the points touching the ground, but on this poor girl its causing her to trip over them....not sure what else to try, will give seperating a go...

could you clip her wings some to see if that makes a difference in her mobility? She may have a growth spurt and then fit into them. I know my friend had baby seramas and they seemed to be all wings and not much else when they were very young.

sadly the little darling passed away this morning, maybe there was something internally wrong too?

Hi spish most likely it was it's called faliure to thrive theres a link for it I'll go see if I can find it for you. so sorry, especially so close after Holly.
