maybe, my little one died this morningI just wonder if the larger one wasn't left from the stores other hatching. sometimes they get a new shipment in and have a few left over from the last hatch. I would say the larger one is at least a week older then the small one. It looks a lot bigger in the box and that was the box you brought it home in wasn't it? That's my guess the bigger one is older then the other one. Just a week will make a big difference in size.

I'm so sorry for your loss.You may want to get a mirror and set beside the cage. That helps a lot and they think they have a friend. I had the same thing happen to me. Also a little stuffed animal might help too. If you introduce another duck keep them seperated so they can see each other if that is possible. After about a week take them outside and see how they do togeather. Again I'm sorry I know how it feels to lose a little one that you've cared for and loved.
