3 week old quail collecting feathers...?

Hi all! This is our first time with quail. We noticed one (we think it's a male), collecting any feathers off the bottom of the cage into a pile in the corner. What is he up to?

What kind of quail? It sounds to me like he's just building himself a comfortable spot.

It might help if you showed some pictures of your bird too.

If nothing else, we like to see pictures of people's birds.

I had a three week old chick who used to build nests for her and her sister.

Awe, so cute. I tried to get a picture but the children promptly cleaned the cage after they told me about it.
