That's about as accurate as flipping a coin, although a coin would be a lot safer than picking a chick up by the head

Here we are at 7 weeks! Still guessing these two are cockerels. Only had one vote saying the blue wheaten was a pullet.
The wheaten is definitely a cockerel!8 weeks! I’m really only stumped on the blue wheaten. What do you think?! I’m sending him/her and Edgar Allan Crow (confirmed black cockerel) to a new home tomorrow, but now I’m questioning letting go of ‘Wheatie’.

Perfect! I actually hope so!The wheaten is definitely a cockerel!
I think you’re right. Both the black and wheaten boys went to a new home; I kept the blue & splash pullets. Whatever beeed they are, I just adore them, and can’t wait to see what color eggs they lay! They all look like Easter Eggers, to me, except for possibly the black one. The black one seems to be the only one I see with slate colored legs. True Ameraucanas have slate colored legs. I have a Blue (BBS) Ameraucana pullet/cockerel combo in my flock of 14 pullets, 1 cockerel. And they both have slate legs. I have pictures of Kevin, my Blue Ameraucana cockerel. But Karen, the pullet, is camera shy. I can never get a good picture of her. LOL
How are things going? Would you be able to get any more photos of the black chick? I have a black im suspicious aboutI think you’re right.
