Hi, I’m looking for some help and advice on how to help my beautiful 3 week old Blue Australorp who appears to have broken or at best, dislocated, it’s leg (see picture). Not sure how it did it, think it was playing around in the cage and somehow hurt itself. Anyway, I wanted to take it to the vet but when they told me the consult fee for weekends I had to pass. I’ve been trying to read up on how to splint it, but I’m really not sure where to do it. My supplies are limited to band aids and cotton tips. If anyone can guide me it would be much appreciated.

Side note - the first thing I did was divid the cage so it can be separated from the other chicks, as that seemed to be the first most important thing to do.

Then it probably isn’t broken if it’s a slipped tendon then I personally haven’t had much luck fixing those. You could try the new bot and see what she says
