3 week olds

If you watch them enough, males will often display even before they grow any tail feathers. Its really cute when the boys are trying to look like men! They stick their little wings down and push up their little nubby tails. So you can recognize them by behavior if you spend a lot of time with them. By 7 or 8 weeks they should be strutting regularly and the neck bumps (caruncles) should be getting bigger on the toms, and by 9 or 10 weeks the snood should be elongating. This year, I started hearing some rookie gobbles around 8 weeks as well.
