Is there any more I can do? I have a 3-week+ Silkie chick that about a week ago looked a little down. After a couple of days of just not acting right, it started sitting in the corner. I took it out and fed it scrambled egg and yogurt and put it in a box by itself. It gets vitamins in its water, I keep the feed clean, the water gets changed out twice a day, it looks like it is just starving. It won't eat, I have been feeding it with a syringe the last 24-hours. It just lays with its wings away from its body, head on the floor and is breathing faster than a normal chick should be. Until today its eyes looked alert and it would perk its head up when I touched it. Also, it started acting like something was wrong with one of its legs at first which is why I moved it away from the others. It was still eating and drinking then.
I hope this isn't too confusing. I just don't know if I should just end its suffering or try something else?

This may be a cause of failure to thrive. There is not really a medical reason, but I had a chick that was like that once. I called Ideal (since I ordered it from them) and they said it was "failing to thrive."

I looked at the list of deficiencies too and if it is, I think it is too far gone. It won't eat anything any more. I considered just putting it down, but I have a really hard time doing that to baby anythings, ya know? Thanks for the suggestion. I am sure some are like that, but the thing that doesn't really make sense, it is 3-weeks old and it was doing just as well as the rest, then all of the sudden it started acting off. Who knows. I am sure with as many chicks as I got I was bound to have something come up. That is the way it goes. At least I have lots more and they are all doing great.
