This chicken turns 3 weeks of age 2 days ago. In the coop of 30 chickens hatched at the same time.
The case was I found the lights in the coop broke so there's no warmth from the lights for around 4 hours after sun sets. It was around 70° outside. They were gathered together for warmth and could have overlapped around each other. After fixing the lights, I saw her weak and not feeding so I took her and put her in small incubator.
Couples minutes after I took her, try to fed her and gave sugar water, it flipped over like having seizure and I thought she has died, but I saw her still breathing so I left it laying by it's side in a small incubator. This morning I found her sitting down again and seem to be healthier. Still doesn't want to eat nor drink, toes curled and not able to stand up since I found her.
I have been reading around for possible causes and found out about "Sudden Death Syndrome".
I found out I have been using wrong protein percentage standard for this type of chicken (it needs 15-17% and I gave it 19%). Could it be the cause of seizure?
Stress can also be a factor. I'm afraid it is something contagious and I want to be able to prevent it on the other chickens if so.
Is there anything I could do to help her? Or if anyone knows the exact cause of her condition, I'd appreciate the help.
