3 Welsh Campbell ducks

I have too many eggs, & want to preserve them in water-glass. Can I give the shells back to the ducks after that?
Can you explain what you mean by preserving them in water-glass?

Egg shell is very high in calcium, and okay to feed back to your birds. I use them daily. Wash them off, bake them, and crush them. I've found the finer you can crush/grind them, the better.

This is the formula for sodium silicate Na2SiO3. You might want to check that and see if it has know toxins for poultry. The below quote says there are no toxins, but that is in reference to humans...
Sodium silicates are non-flammable, non-explosive, and non-toxic. They are, however, alkaline materials and pose hazards to the skin and eyes. The physiological effects of contact vary with the alkalinity of the silicate involved, and range from causing irritation to causing chemical burns
