I bought fifty 3 x 4 egg cartons from eggcartons.com- they are amazing! They fit in my fridge so much easier and are more sturdy than the 2 x 6. Also- my egg customers love these cartons because they are so unique. A must have! I believe they are still on sale, too!
Unique. Hmm. They are the same size my grandfather used for his boxes back then, they were much more common. The egg industry when to the 2x6 size I think because the long narrow fit better on the door of the refrigerators of the day. I agree that they are stronger. Its funny how things come around again with the modern refrigerator having wider door shelves now.
