Trim the feathers away from her eyes so she can see better and so the feathers are not getting caked up and they are not causing eye irritation.Looked like there was a little tiny bit earlier today, it's gone now. She isn't acting sick. No sneezing either.
I feed her layer crumble, and sometimes tomatoes.Trim the feathers away from her eyes so she can see better and so the feathers are not getting caked up and they are not causing eye irritation.
Once the feathers are trimmed up, clean and flush the eyes with saline, remove any debris, pus and/or bubbles. Get some clear photos of the eyes once you trimmed and cleaned.
Put an ointment like Terramycin eye ointment in the eye.
The poop doesn't look very normal, but a lot depends on what she's been eating.
What do you feed, including treats?
Do you provide grit (crushed granite)?
When was she last dewormed? If she was dewormed, what did you use?
Is her crop emptying?
Any lice or mites?
She's not acting sick? See that she's eating/drinking well and get more clear photos of her overnight droppings.
Drinking a lot can often indicate a blockage/digestive or crop problem.I feed her layer crumble, and sometimes tomatoes.
No I don't give her grit.
Doesn't appear to be any lice or mites.
Her crop is empty.
She's been drinking, and drinking.
She's still acting herself.
Here's a photo of her droppings from last night/this morning.
She's been eating too, her crop is fullDrinking a lot can often indicate a blockage/digestive or crop problem.
I'd consider giving her 1 teaspoon of coconut oil twice a day to see if that helps get things moving.
Do you have photos of her eye(s) since you cleaned and trimmed them?
If you have not dewormed, then consider getting a fecal float or if that's not possible, deworming may be needed.
She's eaten too, mostly grass.
Do you mean put the coconut oil in her water?
I gave her a trim, and there isn't anything in her eyes to clean out. What do you mean by flushing her eyes?
I gave her ivermectin for deworming.
In your title you say she's has Swollen Eyes, in the photo she's got wet/debris caked feathers around the eyes which often indcates the eyes have a discharge or bubbly eyes. So you'd clean/flush the eyes with saline to remove any debris, crusty material, etc.3+ Year Old Silkie Hen With Swollen Eyes, Watery Poop, Would Like Advise.
the wet feathers are from sovereign silver I sprayed in her eyes.In your title you say she's has Swollen Eyes, in the photo she's got wet/debris caked feathers around the eyes which often indcates the eyes have a discharge or bubbly eyes. Are her eyes not swollen?
You would give the coconut orally. Just give her small hardened pieces of the coconut oil and let her eat them.
Ivermectin might treat Roundworms if you gave the correct dosing, the medication has lost quite a bit of its effectiveness over the last few years due to overuse. It's best to use an anthelmintic like Safeguard (Fenbendazole) or Albendazole (Valbazen) to deworm birds in the future.
Providing Grit (Crushed Granite) is helpful for the Gizzard to process foods and make them easier to digest. It's always a good idea to make Grit available free choice. Grass seems to be hard to process at times, her poop indicates that she may be slow in processing it, so I'd feed her poultry feed for the next several days, eliminate grass and harder to process foods like scratch/whole grains, seeds, etc.
