30$ 7ft chicken run!

Nice. The one I just built is almost like yours. I put pallets on edge, used 1/2" pvc pipe with connectors to make each one 14'. I screwed each end into the pallets. I then used 1/4" carrage bolts to fasten 1 x4's onto the pvc every 2'. I then pulled a tarp over the whole thing. I had put up welded wire fencing on the outside of the pallet walls before I put the pvc up. I then used zip ties to fasten the tarp on. My run is 10' x 10'. I put my pvc pipe 12" o.c.
you totally explained that much better than me! Lol it's a great and simple design!

What kind of bracket did you use? Was it in the same place as the PVC pipes at the store. Sorry, I know these question are probably stupid but I have never had to build anything on my own, so I'm learning as I go. It's just me and my DD here. If you have pics you can post then I could figure it out better. I LOVE this idea!

You will definitely want to cover the PVC with some protection. UV light will weaken it and make it very susceptible to impact breakage. If sunlight is kept off...no problems.

. It's super shaded Nextel to the honeysuckle bushes. I layer some of the vines to grow over top of it. My goal is to have the whole run coveredin it for them to munch on. They love it!

Awesome run and very creative. I might have to show my hubby your design, one project at a time (he is busy building our coop/run). I am trying to figure something out so ours can free range in the winter.
