ya im using tires because i got them for free and its a nice cheap nesting idea for chickens !!!! I dont believe you need expensive nest to get a good amount of eggs , i believe as long as you keep your chickens happy with food water and a nice place to live , they will treat you right !!!!!

ive hit a downside with this coop . The coop is to high above ground and the chickens will not go down the ramp and or up it ....... So im going to cut off the studs that hold it 4ft high and just bring the top coop to ground level and build them a nice big run so they dont have to deal with a ladder or stair case hehe and or ramp

Wonderfull idea.tires also they may be warmer in the cold.
but Iwould wait before cutting it down to lessen the height.
give your birds a chance to learn. mine took a week.

alright ill give them time , but as of right now i have to put them up by hand , is that normal ??? This is the first time ive had my chickens up off the ground and im kinda getting scared that they arent going to know that they have to go up by them self
